Live Edge Exploration

Tony is on the move yet again (not that he ever really slows down enough to stay in one place for too long). Here is in Thailand looking for some magnificent live edge tables. When we receive them in Connecticut they are already sanded and waxed. So its really interesting to see how these incredibly huge and heavy tables come into being! The wood is called monkey wood, and its native to Southeast Asia.

THE ORIGINS OF THE FLOWER TEA COLLECTION

Inspired by a deep love of the Yunnan province and its people, the Flower Tea Collection aims to share all the magic and enchantment of Yunnan with the world. Sourcing fabrics and centuries-old designs from possibly the most exotic and mysterious part of Mainland China, the Flower Tea Collection blends East and West in a unique and inspiring way.
Combining European classicism and comfort, with the elegant artisan craftsmanship of hand-dyed and hand-woven fabrics of the 24 Minority Cultures of Yunnan, the Flower Tea Collection hopes to draw you in to the magic of this region, and entice you to share our love of this beautiful mountainous country.
Our Foundation Collection is focused on the deep and rich indigo dyes that have made Yunnan fabrics famous around the world.
With every piece sold in this collection, we will donate a portion of profit to supporting local communities in Yunnan, through programs that we believe can truly make a difference in the lives of those who live in this stunning and authentic land.
Join us in exploring the beauty of Yunnan, with the Flower Tea Collection, available in fine home stores around the world, and in our Stamford, CT showrooms.
